Recreation Dish

I guess I have done it, or at least close to getting it done.
I have recreate the really delicious Singaporean/Malaysian dish called bbq. stingray.
Instead, of coz, I used Mahi Mahi and not stingray.
It was pretty good. Spicy and drizzled with a good wedge of lemon and lime.. it was good!
The next time i do it, I shall cook it on the grill.. instead of the broiler.
I am excited.

Summer - where art thou?

My neck is straining to see the light of summer and to smell the air of the summer breeze. To see the green lucious leaves of elm and oak and pine. To smell honeysuckle in my yard and take a step back for  a day to indulge what nature has to offer.  

I am looking forward to a visit from my very very, and only, best friend from faraway place. Her presence will send us away to our very own land too, wherever that might be... who knows, who cares?
"Just the two of us, just the two of us, you and I"

Going make a couple of mintrips this summer :) I am excited ....
Oh man.. summer.. where art thou??

Great day yet?

It is a good day for me, a Grrrrreat day for me. And Tony will be proud of Grrrrrrrrr.
I managed to do really really well on my audiology midterm exam and my roses are just blooming left and right in the front yard. It is like, a fresh bouquet of roses are awaiting me whenever I drive up to park my car.
The day is just gonna be great when I leave the house and whatever unhappiness that i encountered during the day will dissipate whenever i pull the car up and see those roses... Who says Life isn't a bed of roses? For me, it is. You just have to keep positive and keep going.
The power of your mind, your outlook really have an effect on what it is going to be. :)

I made some pretty darn good linguine pasta with shrimp and crawfish in creamy mushroom sauce.
Hey I m talking about sauce made from scratch, not those that you cheat by pouring a can of cream of mushroom soup! This is serious stuff going on here!
Anyway, I spent some good time just stirring the sauce as it simmers and simmers and thickens. Kinda stirring all the information I have accumulated during the day into my brain. It was therapeutic.
So, you make this sauce with cream, add all the spices, let it thickens, add the mushrooms and bellpepper and keep stirring. Add your shrimp and what nots and squeeze a generous amount of lemon juice just when serving.
Absolutely Wonderful!!
