Counting down

Ha.
I m playing "Catch" with time.
One more day before I can set my brain down for a brief break.
And then, it will be all ready to play again!

study guide

Bear with me for the next few days. I am condensing my copious notes into short, simple, layman's paragraphs.
Then, give your brain credit for every movement, every thought, every restraint, and every impulse!
And, the phrase "follow your heart" could be one of my pet peeve soon.  Will let y'all know when I form a judgment.

Cerebral Blood Supply is divided into anterior and posterior systems.
Anterior System begins at the internal carotid arteries. (ascend in neck and enters through the base of brain lateral to optic chiasm)
Internal carotid arteries bifurcates into ANTERIOR CEREBRAL ARTERIES and MIDDLE CEREBRAL ARTERIES. (Anterior communicating arteries communicates between these two). ACA - supply medial structures in each hemisphere, and the MCA supply most of lateral surface of each hemisphere.
Posterior System begins with the pair of vertebral arteries (L and R)
It ascends through the cervical vertebrae and enters through the foramen magnum.
Then this pair of vertebral arteries meet at the pons-medulla junction, which forms the Basilar Artery, and ascends to midbrain.
Basilar Artery then bifurcates into the posterior cerebral artery (L and R).

Chronoid plexus produces CSF.
CSF flows from 2 lateral ventricles in each hemisphere through Foramen of Monro to third ventricle.
From third ventricle to cerebral aqueduct (a.k.a. adequct of Sylvius) to 4th ventricle.
From 4th ventricle, it flows through Foramen of Mengendie and Foramen of Luschka.

Sensory association areas are cool!
It elaborates the impulses that are sent from the primary motor projection and primary sensory reception areas.
These association areas are thought to match the present stimulus information with past stimulus information drawn from memory.
Also, certain sensory association areas blend/mingle/mix with sensory info frm other association areas, giving us this enhanced, higher level of cortical sensory information ----- This is our PERCEPTION!
The complex conceptual knowledge, which is enhanced by memory, is GNOSIS.

Pitter Patter

The rain keeps coming, mixed in with the cold, and the sometimes blustery wind.
It is perfect to be home, snuggled up in warm blankets, sweat shirts and just be comfortable.
No distractions from the outside world, no one to answer to, or to listen to.
Just me, my cup of tea, my right hemisphere brain damage journal articles to read, and my blanket.

The weather makes home too tempting.
And listen.

Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain ...
pitter patter, pitter patter, oh oh oh ...

Start it with a bang

This is a grreeeeat morning!
I kick-started it with good cardio session, a nice HOT shower and a yummy breakfast!
Had my over-easy eggs, my sausages, my hashbrowns and now, I am enjoying my good cup of tea!
Hmmmm...

How are you starting your morning?

Ruston is soaked

Ruston is soaked through and through.
The rain has eased a little, and I can still hear the pitter-patter outside.
The sun is peeking through the gray clouds, providing some heat to the cold wet day.
Stay indoors, stay warm with a cup of hot chocolate.
I love rainy days.

Stuffed delight

It has been three days of nonstop experimenting with stuffed foods.
First was stuffed mushrooms, then came stuffed tilapia and today, I have stuffed chicken breasts in the oven.
The menu planned for today is Stuffed Chicken Breasts with some kind of creamy cheese sauce, served either with angel hair pasta with marinara sauce or linguine with mushroom cream sauce. Of coz' the meal will be served with some roasted vegetables (I am thinking of red potatoes, broccoli, sugar snap peas and the likes)
Desert ... I haven't got that far yet.  Perhaps a rich three-layer chocolate cake baked from scratch, with either chocolate icing or minted chocolate icing.  Hmmm.... Or just some plain old good peach cobbler, topped with a generous scoop of vanilla icecream?

Yummy

Peanut butter, my friend, is the key to all cravings!
It all depends on what kind of peanut butter you use to satisfy those urgings.
Crunchy peanut butter is old school - with that added crunch/texture and full of flavor.
Creamy peanut butter is rich, smooth and creamy, with a tinge of saltiness in it.
Low fat creamy peanut butter is rich, smooth, creamy, salty and sweet - all flavors combined in a spoonful of heavenly delight.
Low sugar creamy peanut butter is rich, smooth, and nutty.

And that is just peanut by itself.
Drizzle some honey, boy, I am in heaven.
Mix it up with blackberry preserves - sweet, tart and creamy

Then, you smear the peanut butter on bananas - You've got a GREAT SNACK!

Hmmm.. yummmmm...

The day after

So, I hope u had your black eye peas.  I had 2 hearty servings of that and probably will eat more later today.
School starts again tomorrow.  It seems like I haven't really rested at all.  I haven't got bored of staying home, haven't ran out of spots to wipe, furniture to move, or cabinets and shelves to label.
There are so many things for school to be done, and Christmas break just wasn't the time to do it.
How can you be celebrating with work at the back of your mind?
Ha ...
I am going to take it easy today, afterall, it will be a while before we get a break again.

Have a good day.

Happy New Year

So, this is 2007 huh?
The weather seems pretty, the breakfast was good, the tea was hot and creamy.
And I went to bed early on eve. I didn't stay up, I couldn't bring myself to stay up.
And in between dreamland and reality, Keith and I just murmured something like "Happy New Year baby" and we fell back asleep.
I will take today to devise my list of new year resolutions. I believe in making them, and breaking them, and not sharing them :)
What about you? New Year resolutions anyone?
